Get The Look: Coco Rocha

Canadian Supermodel Coco Rocha arrived in Australia last month for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Festival Sydney 2015.

I had the chance to chat with Coco about all things beauty, travel and all the favourite details of her crazy lifestyle and you can check out that post HERE. The next on my list of Fashion Festival priorities was getting the 411 on how to achieve her beauty and hair style from the team’s backstage… she was truly owning this bad ass look and I’m dying over her cheekbones. It’s impossible to ignore her striking features and her gamine appeal. Coco glows!

“Coco’s ‘Rock Chic’ hair style was created to embody effortless glamour with modern edge.”

  1. On damp hair create a loose, undefined centre part.
  2. Apply REDKEN GUTS10 Root Targeted Volume Spray Foam to roots and ends. Comb through to create flexible fullness.
  3. Blow-dry hair until completely dry and gently brush the hair.
  4. Wrap the mid-length sections of hair into a medium curling wand and hold for 2-3 seconds to create soft curls. EXPERT TIP Ensure the wand is held at a parallel angle to each section of hair and keep the ends out.
  5. Spray the hair with REDKEN SHINE FLASH 02 Glistening Mist to create weightless lustre with nourishing benefits.
  6. Tousle hair with fingers and shake to loosen the curls and create glamorous rock chic waves.
  7. Complete the look with a generous spray hair of REDKEN FASHION WORK 12 Versatile Working Spray to create workable hold.

How to get Coco’s Make Up by MAC

  1. Hydrate well by soaking the skin with MAC softening lotion, Prep and Prime Essential Oils and glazing with MAC Strobe Cream.
  2. Once skin is plumped and highlighted you will be surprised by how little foundation and coverage you actually need!
  3.  Use a small amount of Face and Body Foundation over your face and décolletage, and conceal where needed with Studio Finish Concealer and a small fluffy brush for an airbrushed finish.
  4. Eye Brows, Brush them up and into place with Clear Brow set, then use Charcoal Brown Shadow, wet and dry with a #266 Angle brush to feather in hair like texture to create fullness and definition.
  5. Eyes – Start by lining the eyes heavily with Feline eye kohl pencil and smudged the colour all the way around the eyes making sure the edges were blended and smooth. This creates the perfect base for eyeshadow to stick to and to amp up the intensity of colour!
  6.  Use Blue brown Pigment from MAC PRO, the intimate shiny multidimensional petrol colour, and deepen the crease with Carbon Eyeshadow to add drama.
  7. Apply Hush Cream Colour base mixed with some Strobe Cream patted onto the cheeks for a healthy glow, and then finish off the look by pressing Pure Zen Lipstick over your lips to soften and neutralise the natural pink and remain creamy!

Special thanks to the teams at Redken and MAC for filling me in on Coco’s awesome Rock Chic look!
